Vaccination rates across Latin America are comparable to American rates. Some are lower by a fraction than the US, some have better rates.

Put simply, the right wing xenophobic white nationalist base is trotting out the usual tropes and smears about migrants seeking to enter the US lawfully and claim asylum.

It’s the same smears we heard decades ago when Jews tried to enter, and before that the Irish, Chinese, etc.

Xenophobic white nationalists want to reserve their power and control, and that means making BS claims to try and gin up support for their odious positions.
