Came across an article written about that movie written by a former military officer.

Included lines like, “The apparent basic formation unit of the Mobile Infantry is the ‘mob’.”

Basically went on to rip the military aspects of the movie apart from head to toe regarding doctrine, weapons, training, logistics and so on.

Heinlein, a former military man, described organization, tactics and logistics in great detail in that book and again, I was sad to see it all brushed over.

I have come to enjoy the film on its own as a parody of fashionable fascist youth appeal, and the less I am reminded of the original, the better.
