re: #171 Intenzity

Yea you are right.

Hey, the country was taken over by a wave of overtly racist, borderline nazi, anti-abortion, anti-science, gay-people-should-die, show-us-your-papers, global-warming isnt even real klan of psychos…

But we didnt want to hurt their feelings or stoop to their level, so they control congress now, but if you think about it we really won in the big picture.

There is a time for moderate. There is a time for “oh shit”. I don’t know where your threshold is for that, but when people start saying armed insurrection is on the table if they dont get what they want and that certain people of certain colors maybe they are not as equal as the rest of us, I am all for throwing elbows and kicking people in the nuts if it keeps those people out of office. I am not really interested in seeing just how much of the crazy shit they say they want to do they are really going to actually try and do. All of it is crazy shit.

Because here is the thing - they will not fight fair. We all know this. You don’t get moral victory points for taking the high road and losing the election. You just lost the election is all.

You guys…I dont know why you think these people are kidding with you when they talk about what they want to do. Do you not believe them? That they want a theocracy? And everyone to carry citizenship papers? Now some of their claims are just impossible, they cant do them even if they take the house, but some of ‘em…they can sure try, and waste 2 years worth of time we can really use fighting one ridiculous thing after another they come up with.

So now it’s hyperbole to quote what they have actually said are going to do if they get elected? Ohhh. I guess they are just kidding. They don’t really mean it. Its all just to get elected and then they are going to go to Washington and see the light. Oh, okay. Whew.

I was scared there for a minute.

First of all, the election is Tuesday, so no one knows what’s going to happen.

Secondly, if the worst should happen and the next 2 years are a draw and nothing gets done, most people (I would think) will realize that you can’t elect know-nothings and expect them to rehaul the entire system. Hell, seasoned politicians, at it for some 30 years (*cough* John McCain *cough*) haven’t been able to CHANGE the system. Anyway, Obama will be a slam dunk for 2012. I think he will anyway.
