Fun Facts: Even though both were intensely anti-Communist, for regional-powers rivalry reasons Pinochet and the Aregentine junta were on bad terms, bad enough that the Argentinian generals felt they could not move their largely-volunteer infantry units off of the border region with Chile in 1982, instead sending mostly conscript units to the Falklands. These were of lesser quality than the all-volunteer British infantry who opposed them.
