re: #184 Feline Fearless Leader
The comic book stuff in general doesn’t understand physics and inertia. Superman picking up a battleship (or other large object) would end up under the object resting in a Superman-shaped dent, or simply holding a relatively small chunk since the rest of the object broke off.
Not to mention holding a jetliner by its nose and gently placing it on the ground.
Along those lines, I used to have a Word file called Cartoon Physics that I got from some teacher friend. It’s mostly based on the physics of Looney Tunes, as in, “the Law of Conscious Falling: Character in midair doesn’t fall until he looks down and realizes he is in midair” or “The Uncertainty Principle of painted doorways and holes: The first character to paint a door on a wall may open the door to escape, but his pursuer only runs into a solid wall.”
