Not once have the Duggar parents talked about what effect the molestation had on their minor daughters because, I suppose, their feelings and the impact it had on them don’t much matter in this strange world of fixed male privilege. I think Josh Duggar molested all 5 of his sisters and may have done others outside the family who were similarly told not to talk about it to anyone. And when you’re a young child whose only adult contacts are your parents and the church which has excused the behavior (your whole world, as it were), then there is no way to heal. These girls (young women now), if they’re ever able to escape from the cult their parents have imprisoned them in, will hopefully someday realize that their lives were in no way “normal” and that the kind of behavior exhibited by their brother isn’t either, but is condemned by those outside their parents’ sphere of influence. It will takes years of therapy and “deprogramming”, however, to reach normalcy and an understanding of what they’ve been put through.

Another result of molestation at an early age is that girls grow up thinking that their worth is based solely on their sexuality, whether from sexual expression or from being a brood mare for the male(s) in their lives. You see women from all walks of life who have drifted into “adult entertainment”, prostitution, drug addiction, and other damaging and self-destruction behavior because of this kind of abuse, including bad relationships with plenty of domestic violence, because there is no other way to express the damage done to them as children w/o years of therapy and support.

These Duggar kids are not encouraged to pursue anything beyond their “home schooling”, and I don’t think any of them have a legitimate college degree. The Duggars promote a skeezy outfit called “College Plus” which claims you can get a college degree online (the “christian” kind). Christianist “College Plus” claims after 8 wks of one of their subjects is “studied” you can CLEP the course and get credit. It’s yet to be determined whether or not this “college” is accredited because the Duggars skate around the question, as they do all others, because it’s part of their cult.
