I’m sorry to hear that she apologized too. Trump never apologizes for his bigoted comments. She should not apologize for calling him out on his bigotry.

She apologized for “half”. She didn’t apologize for calling out the bigots. In fact, she said:

Clinton says she was in the wrong to say that half of Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables” but continued to lash out at the far-right extremists linked to the GOP campaign.

“Last night I was ‘grossly generalistic,’ and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ —that was wrong,” Clinton’s Saturday afternoon mea culpa read.

“But let’s be clear, what’s really ‘deplorable’ is that Donald Trump hired a major advocate for the so-called ‘alt-right’ movement to run his campaign and that David Duke and other white supremacists see him as a champion of their values.”
