I know many who think that. They have to be very fresh eggs, but not fresh laid (I know because we used to keep chickens)or the membrane is still attached to the shell and they do not peel properly.
It also depends on the cooking method. Overboiled eggs get a sulfurous flavor and aroma. Underboiled eggs put people off because of the runny yolk.
