And it’s totally true. Hence all the BS about how the Dems have to be the ones to put a “counter-offer” on the table, because once they’ve done so, then you’re no longer facing total opposition to wall funding and can go forward with the concession that wall funding will be a part of the final deal. But so long as they hold firm to there being no wall funding, then they can (rightly) argue that wall funding and other matters related to immigration reform (which Donny suddenly wants to talk again) should be addressed after the gov’t is reopened and not as a part of what are effectively hostage negotiations.
