What is Schultz’s base?

Given the energy and, thus far, quality of the Democratic candidates, I don’t see him drawing much support from Democrats.

So, is it disaffected Republicans? If they’re not inclined to vote for Trump or a Democrat, them voting for an independent/third party candidate isn’t necessarily going to change the calculus. Where that could hurt Democrats is in down ballot races, where disaffected Republicans would be inclined to vote for Republicans in Congress while voting for a third party candidate.

Also, we just tried a “business” “executive” with no real world political experience… and it hasn’t worked out well. What makes him think voters will be on board with that again?
