Growing up in Northern Va, I saw very few CSA flags but I saw a lot more of them when I went to Western Maryland and South Central Pennsylvania where the Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields were and I just remember it striking me. These are probably descendants of farmers who had their produce raided by CSA soldiers and they’re raising hte CSA flag?!? But that was before I found out teh weirdest creatures are the CSA fans who don’t have any ties to the South at all like Steve King.

Yeah, western Maryland is really something.
