Wouldn’t do what? Mention her name? What does it change if they just say that there’s allegations of abuse and they need to ask him some questions about said allegations?

I’m saying that you don’t do it if she’s still living with the guy. It seems rather basic. But if she’s moved out to a safe location, then asking might be a good idea.
