The term Reckless seems applicable.

What does this tell you about people who are trained to handle themselves and firearms and yet a chunk of them panic at the thought that they might actually not be the top of the food chain.

Shoot first, and if innocent people die, really, the police were defending themselves.

Sovereign immunity may apply. So really, the police and states can literally get away with murder unless they consent to being sued.

It makes me think open carry laws like the one just passed here in OK are stupid. The last thing I want is to be in a mall or movie theater and have a bunch of “heroes” shooting up the place in response to a perceived threat.
