Every day, more and more, I’m running into the feeling that as a non-white person, as a liberal, as someone living on the ‘godless coastal liberal enclaves’, etc, that all of America hates me and wants to see me and anyone else like me (or even ‘worse’ by their estimation) burn alive for the good of ‘their country’.

This country hates us. It really does. It fucking wants us to die because we’re not ‘Real Americans’.

I know they’re the loudest and most visible, but please know that they’re not everyone—they’re not even the majority. And, although we can’t all relate directly to what you’re feeling, many of us belong to some other hated group, and we share an important common trait—empathy. Also, know that we will stand beside you (and in front of you if need be) to tell them FUCK NO.
