Why? Recession fears, thanks to inverted yield curve, slowing economies across Europe, the idiotic Trump trade war doing damage to US, China, and elsewhere, Brazil’s mess, and even Brexit.

Super. Trump’s answer? Let’s show how strong the economy is by demanding the Fed cut interest rates even more.

The economy isn’t strong if you’re cutting interest rates. It’s the opposite. It’s a sign the economy is sluggish, slowing, or worse. Trump thinks goosing the rate will somehow save his hide from the consequences of his damaging trade war.

So, he’s taken to attacking his latest pick for the Fed.

and he delayed the chinese tariffs from 9/1 to 12/15 so as not to have an impact on americans at christmas time.

brings up some interesting points:

- the erratic nature of the markets - that they cant seem to find their footing/figure out what the plan is - seems to indicate there wont be a trade deal with china any time soon
- it makes no sense if china pays the tariffs how it could possibly affect american consumers at christmas time. /s (but not really)
- delaying to 12/15 means when they do kick in all he did was swap holiday season for election season - possibly not the smartest political move
