I remember seeing this when it was shown on Glen Campbell’s show. Makes me wish those classic variety shows were on DVD or streaming. Production folks tell me the main thing stopping shows like Glen Campbell, Danny Kaye, Steve Allen and Judy Garland (among others) from going on streaming or DVD are the music clearances.

Just trying to get the clearance from the Baha Men for “Who let the dogs out” for use in the Scooby-Doo movie ate up my roommate’s life back in the early 2000s.

The labels got desperate for money, and the one source left was Publishing. Used to be the bastard stepchild that nobody gave a shit about, now it’s steady hard cash, so they are milking the living hell out of their remaining cow.
