Saw a blog post about this last night and it really speaks to entire mindset of wingnuts right now, that they genuinely believe that Trump would be as popular if not more popular than his predecessors if not for the “bogus” Russia investigation and the media’s coverage of such. It’s not that he has tried to rule like a dictator, it’s not the fascist way he has tried to deal with America’s “problems,” and it’s not that he makes pond scum look appealing. No, it’s the media not being nice and perpetuating a “hoax” that makes him look bad that is the reason why he’s so unpopular.
