That was an action of little sense. Even if he was sure he was right, he should not have said that. Going after the Bible like that causes many people to simply label you as a “Hater of Christianity”, and after you are so labeled they won’t listen to you. Honestly, this was a time to mince words and tiptoe through the tulips.

Oh, bullshit. It’s the tiptoeing and mincing about with woo of all stripes that has resulted in a shockingly ignorant population of people who believe the sun revolves around the earth and Jesus rode dinosaurs a couple of thousand years ago.

Bullshit is an entirely descriptive term especially when these backward beliefs are being used to hate and bully.
