A few nights ago, we discussed digital signal quality and the limits of human hearing. Somewhere, we’ll hit the HD level that returns nothing much, or seems ‘off’.

My eyes were Panatomic once, now they’re Tri-X.

I saw that conversation. Over mah head. Tri-X is the best film ever. It taught me everything photographic as a very young guy.

My guess is that human optic “resolution” is still way higher. 8k? 12k? Of course like the audio discussion this has dimensions, resolution is just one measure. Some in production Hollywood think the passive theater screen is going to go away. Think 8k curved jumbotron and atmos audio. Keep that theater experience bigger and better than home.
