David French of the National Review misgendered Chelsea Manning, he was justifiably chewed out in social media, and then he went back to National Review to whine again. I decided to pile on, in part because one of my dearest friends is transitioning right now and because I remembered the weirdness last year when French was bandied as a possible presidential candidate.
