They just got their asses handed to them on a platter. Have they changed anything? They let trump shut down the government. And are bitching that Dems did it… Even after trump bragged about it.

There does not appear to be a self protection gene in any of them, or in the party as a whole.

Except that wasn’t true in the Senate. Possibly due to the Kavanaugh nomination and Trump’s success in DARVOing by making the judge the victim, several Democrats went down to defeat. The GOP Senate will do whatever their donors tell them — and their donors are hostile to the ACA — as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. At least the Pelosi house can protect those programs for the next 2 years. But the budget deficits will eventually force some kind of showdown — and until the Dems take back the Senate and the Presidency, there is no way to deal with that problem using the best tool: repealing the GOP tax cuts for the rich.
