Newspapers, radio, and television are all regulated. Facebook is not.
I agree that they need to all they can to prevent people from spreading violence. That means hire people to monitor content.
If they continue spreading genocide, rape and murder threats, &c., it doesn’t seem to me the solution is “well, nothing can be done.” That’s what we have a government for, to protect us from rapacious capitalists who are fine with murder as long as it makes them money.
That’s what I mean. Have similiar regulations in place that newspapers, radio, and TV. However, it’s a little different since with Facebook and Twitter, you are talking about the bare individual. There needs to be changes. I just don’t the specifics on how you do something like this since it’s an unique thing.
