Got this idea that’s getting more interesting: for Xmas, give me books or $ for books. Not Kindle or audiobooks, though they have their roles. Real paper and ink, no electronics glowing or making noise. Just paper-ink-eyeballs-brain. Spend the time between Xmas and NY at a beach in the shade, just reading.

Time for a new Coates and Baldwin, could probably get two more and lose a week in them.

My holiday gifts from the kids are usually just magazine subscriptions. Daughter gets me Scientific American, middle son gets me National Geographic History, youngest picks up whatever the wife tells him to get (changes year to year). Oldest usually sends a gift for both wife and I, most times a card for some eatery. We don’t go crazy with the gifts, just something small. Grandkids get the good stuff of course.
