re: #187 Targetpractice
Actually “sturmgewehr” was coined by Hitler himself, when presented with the rifle and seeing just how revolutionary it was. This was after he’d previously canceled all work on the project and told his generals there would be no rifles, because the Kar 98K was sufficient for the duration of what he figured would be a short war. And despite superficial resemblance, the StG44 and AK-47 have absolutely no connection besides being assault rifles. Finally, “sturmgewehr” is translated as “Storm Rifle,” not “Weapon.”
Syrian rebels are known to use them.
