I have always had questions about Mr. McCain, douche-crap fighter pilot POW Senator. They’re complicated.

The difference, I think was that McCain didn’t exploit his veteran status and disabilities due to torture (being a POW) during his presidential bid. Kerry politicized his war record over and over.

That is my personal take tho, YMMV.

Both married rich wives and continued to serve their country. Strange how their careers have gone.
