The thing I’m left with this weekend, in light of the little f’ing asshole, is that a whole bunch of women are driving the narrative away from minimizing the event as ‘just a crazy guy’ and focusing on what is really is, misogynist terrorism.

And they should. That entitled little shit didn’t exist in a vacuum. There are plenty of guys just like him out there and there always have been. The only difference is that most of them don’t reach for their (legally purchased, fair and square) guns and open fire. They just find other ways to harass and intimidate women or slut shame them.

You can give a guy a fake number. You can tell him you’re gay. You can mention your boyfriend/husband/partner/FWB/whatever and still be ignored. Some guys just don’t understand the concept of no being no or of Taking The Hint. Some guys can’t fathom the possibility that women aren’t interested in them because they’re creepy and/or too full of themselves. This UCSB dipshit was one of those guys.
