I’ve used that song in English class to teach idioms. There’s two in the title, and “no can do” is allegedly Chinglish, but probably comes from Creole or pidgin English somewhere.

“No can do”, whatever its origin, is one of the terms spread by military usage in the 50’s or before. It has a pidgin tone to it.

Re hair: By the late ’60s I had adopted RFK’s politics and hair. Kept both.
