Okay. I watched the video attached to the article. Twice you can hear someone laughing out loud. It looks like when the Capitol Police tried to remove her, she resisted. It’s worth noting that, at the end, she’s shouting, but the mic barely pics it up, which means her initial laughter must have been pretty loud. She was clearly attempting to disrupt the proceedings, and she succeeded.
It’s not accurate to say ‘she was jailed for laughing’.
A quibble. She was a member of the public, a citizen, watching a potential employee perform before a panel.
She could have been playing “Taps” on a bugle for all I care. She shouldn’t have been arrested and certainly not convicted of a crime for laughter. Again, she was watching One Of Her Potential Employees In A Job Interview. The little fuckers work for us. We do not and can not bow to them as our Overlords.
