Yup! There is a certainly a class of low information citizens out there.

The more imaginative ones figured out how close to the edge we came under Bush 43. And, I suspect without several thumbs on the scale in 2016, we would not have the current 45. (Putin and Comey come to mind.)

But without the searing memory of a major disaster, we were due for a Repug at some point in the near future anyway.

As Churchill is reputed to have said “Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing… after they have exhausted all other possibilities.”

I just hope we can survive until we do the right thing.

I think we can. With the voting and the marches, I think we’re beyond the usual opposition party reaction and may finally have some of that apathy solved. The number of both voters and people running for office are new.
