re: #142 Dr Lizardo
Some SCOTUS news:
The Supreme Court on Tuesday invalidated a provision of federal law that requires the mandatory deportation of immigrants who have been convicted of some crimes, holding that the law is unconstitutionally vague.
I mean, good for Justice Gorsuch and all (IANAL, but it seems to me that invalidating virtually anything the Trump Administration has enacted is, just on the odds, probably A Good Thing in itself) - but what are the particulars of the case? Does invalidating “mandatory deportation” merely mean that said immigrants should/can/will just be jailed instead?
