My inner pessimist tells me that this will be the end of the US Dollar as the World Reserve Currency and once that collapses, the US will lose its ability to finance deficits by selling T-bills and have no choice but to go to war.

How about a basket of reserve currencies instead? More complicated, no doubt; large fluxes, tricky period ahead…
