He needs to do something dramatic to reunite them back behind him. War with Venezuela or the like. Remember, he still has a lot of aces up his sleeve as Prez and CinC and he is not cornered enough yet to start pulling them out.

I’d think maybe a war (or at least some kind of military campaign) against Iran would be the most likely to really get them fired up. Ties in with a lot of the apocalyptic End Times fantasies that the GOP base faps to.
