Honestly, I think what has changed is we know more about this. Viral recordings have really I think illustrated the abuses that people in our country especially PoC experience with authority figures like cops. I don’t think it appeared out of nowhere.

Agreed, but the problem is we now have an Administration that’s very publicly not only condoning this but ENCOURAGING IT.
