Tineye has an algorithm that has partially solved that problem. (Not thet they are going to let anyone have it for free, but still.)

You guys are right, it would be a monstrously difficult problem. But it’s not intractable. Just very hard.

No, no, I mean that the picture contains information. Tineye won’t tell you how much information the picture contains. There’s no picture on there one day, and the next day there’s a picture. How much has it changed?

Or a graph, or a citation that fully backs up a claim, etc. Imagine trying to evaluate the difference between a paper without any references and one with references. A reputation engine could possibly evaluate the links and see if they’re going to good places, but you still have no idea if they actually support the argument being made unless you evaluate it, and that takes intelligence.
