NOM RI posts shocking, must-be-seen videos; clips claim gays are ‘lethal’, not going to heaven, more

The videos could not be more anti-gay. At one point (2:32 in the second video), a Liberty Counsel attorney claims gays have “a radical agenda that is destroying America.” At another point (beginning at 3:40 in the second video), the intensely hostile Matt Barber calls “unnatural” homosexuality a “sin that is self-destructive” before going on to declare that “the wages of sins is death.” At another point, the speakers direcly compare “lethal” homosexuality to cigarette smoking (Barber even says it is worse than smoking). And throughout both videos, speakers accuse groups that encourage basic tolerance in schools of holding a “radical” and “immoral” agenda.

In another part (beginning at 8:43 in the second clip), the videos pull from a downright fabricated Family Research Council video that the FRC actually had to change after GLSEN filed a cease and desist letter. This video features Brian Camenker from the SPLC-designated hate group Mass Resistance making downright fallacious claims about what has supposedly been taught in Masachussets schools. The goal, once again, is to attack basic tolerance in public education.

Then there is the part (3:30 in the first video) where Kara Young—the person who created the videos, by the way—calls homosexuality a “disorder.” Young goes on (at 4:00 in the first video) to call liberal Catholic “heretics” before moving on (around 6:00 in the first vid) to plainly state that gays will not go to heaven. Yes, I’m serious.

Oh, and (beginning at 8:45 in the first vid) Chris Young (Kara’s husband who posted the videos to YouTube) says the LGBT rights push is really a drive to push “atheistic Communism,” complete with Joseph Stalin quotes to highlight his point. Gays and supporters are “collapsing morality,” Young claims.

But ya know, I actually think I might be underselling the two videos. I’m not kidding you—it doesn’t get much worse than these two clips! They are not just anti–marriage equality—these are proudly anti-LGBT videos that denigrate us in every single way imaginable. These videos are from the most extreme fringe of this debate. They would make even some outspoken conservatives blush.
