Part of the issue in the book was the zombie were a slow, relentless threat that slowly built up into something nearly unstoppable.
And in WWZ the movie? We get a running swarm of CGI.
Shite.
My favorite part was when the US Army finds out that its shock and awe tactics - disrupting enemy communications and chain of command - do not work against a mindless, undead enemy. They have to resort to Civil War tactics of standing in a firing line and pouring lead into the heads of the approaching hordes.
