re: #9 goddamnedfrank

One way to identify someone who has never actually read the entire US Constitution is the following:

1. They will often be the first to bring it up. Passionately.
2. They will claim, again without prompting, to have read it many times.
3. They will claim to own many copies of it.

These are progressively bigger and bigger tells. I’m sure plenty of people have read it several times, but only those with something to prove would mention it. And who owns several copies of the Constitution outside of say, actual historians? I might own one copy, in an old boxed up set of Encyclopedias. All the other copies I could possibly ever need are on the internet. In any event it’s another obvious bluff, nobody brings up the number of Constitutions they have unless they’re subconsciously trying to overcompensate for something.

Well, I actually do have a copy of the constitution (one of the little ones given out by CATO) that I’ve carried ever since I worked for the Census in 2010. It was very useful in dealing with the anti-census mythology that existed on the right. It’s entertaining to be a self-avowed leftist who knows the document far better than the supposed “patriots”.
