Wait a second. The concept of “the resting place of Jesus Christ” seems a bit off to me.

I’m just an atheist, but I though Jesus is supposed to have risen from the dead (on the third day) and bodily entered Heaven (some time later), making his grave one of the all-time pointless exercises.

I believe it’s supposed to indicate the place where His body temporarily rested.
