But here’s the rub, as I see it. We don’t have the money, nor the State Media outfit like Fox, OAN, or RSBN, to wage the same kind of battle. And rest assure, GOP media finds plenty of clips of our side “giving them hell” but our media basically ignores it. We have guys like Beto and Swallwell going out there with zero fucks to give, but I never see them on outlets like TPM, MSNBC, or getting amplified on Twitter. And even if we didn’t have sufficient firepower to combat this, the anger is still heading the wrong way. The energy is never going to come from the top. It has to come from people like us convincing our friends and family that we really are in a fight for Democracy. I don’t believe there is a magic speech to be given or a silver bullet strategy for any of this. Democracy is fragile and keeping it requires constant effort. Too many people think you vote and let the leadership do the rest. It just doesn’t work that way, and November will demonstrate that fact.
