Mittens was their boy, the guy they’d chosen to bear the flag this go around, and yet he’s lost more primaries than he’s won. Even now, Santorum’s beating him 9% in Michigan and within ten points in Arizona, both states that were solidly in Romney’s pocket a month ago. He has to come from behind and take both, or else he might as well start writing his concession speech.

Even if Wilard pulls this out, there will be a feeling among a lot of the GOP base that he was foisted on them against their wishes, which means there will be a singular lack of enthusiasm for him on the campaign trail and at the polls
