I think they’ve hurt themselves with younger voters too. One of the reasons why Obama did so well with younger voters is because he actually showed genuine respect for them. Plus, their positions on social issues like abortion, birth control, and gay rights aren’t going to win them support with a youth bloc that is socially liberal.

They probably figger they’ll just suppress their votes and not have to worry about it.
