They do and they stopped being about gun ownership a long time ago and instead started being about selling as much firearms as possible. What was once a respectable organization is no more.

Exactly right. Confiscation of firearms based solely on party affiliation or race means less gun sales revenue. They’ll kill such an idea before it ever is considered.
