What’s up with Republicans blocking the counting of votes? Democrats need to embarrass the hell out of them for trying that nonsense. Every vote needs to be counted. Period.

I think the logic is “we have laws on what constitutes a valid ballot/vote, voters and poll workers have an obligation to comply with those laws.” And that’s a fair position. We should be a nation of law.

The problem is when there’s vague language in the law and one county counts one way and another county counts a different way, with both being reasonable interpretations of a vaguely worded law.

The presumption should be a reading that allows the most ballots cast to be counted.
