Overturning the results of an American election requires the highest level of fairness and due process, as it strikes at the core of our democratic process.

This really is the only thing resembling a “defense” they have left, the idea that impeachment is “overturning the election.” Why it’s so fucking stupid? They’re making it as an argument when Trump has admitted to the nation that he has tried repeatedly to influence the 2020 election in his favor.
