Apparently, it may die before it reaches the floor. It turns out some homeschooling lobby objects because the bill will give too much authority to feds, so other Repubs may shy away from it. Besides that, there is a rising grassroots effort to hammer Representatives about the consequences of such a bonehead move.

Taking away the white working class’s public education may not be the brightest idea.
