I just don’t want liberalism/progressivism to be about what one man wants. As I said over the past winter, what I found about Bernie’s vision despite the talk was from inclusionary. If you’re someone who works for a bank but holds socially liberal views, you’re an enemy in Bernie’s vision for the American left and I must say despite my problems with how the banks are run, that’s not what i want. And I know that kind of rhetoric drives people nuts. The fact of the matter is the way I see Sanders talk about bank employees, it really reminds me of what I hate about how Republicans talk about people who work for the Feds.

The same condition tends to affect both Trumpsters and Bernouts: they all tend to see the world (and everything in it) as black-and-white, cut-and-dry, no deviations, which leads to the same charge of “if you’re not with us, you’re against us”

It’s fucking narrow-minded, unenlightened bullshit that tends to hurt much more than it helps.
