What really needs to happen on the left: when an important issue comes up, a “task force” needs to be formed, with people who will continue to focus on just THAT issue, knowing that other task forces will form to deal with new issues. This way the issues won’t just slide away into the background because there will always be people keeping them front and center.

This kind of approach is more important than ever with Trump, because he’s putting out a blizzard of bad craziness, and it’s way too easy to get swept up in the latest outrage and forget the other important shit.
