At some level, they know Trump is tearing things apart. But they chose him, and since admitting they are wrong is the hardest thing to do, they are reacting by being more and more delusional in their thinking. Forget rearranging deck chairs, they’re trying to scoop the water out with teacups.

They got tax cuts, lifetime judgeships, and fucking Rapey McKavenaugh on the SCOTUS. Republicans are getting everything they want with their puppet. No way they care at all about how it affects them. They’ll be gone, but the legacy will live on for decades.
