Exactly. (As a born and raised Masshole, I have always had a bit of a grudge about people who move to NH for the low taxes, but commute to a job in MA)

If you commute to MA for work you end up paying both MA income tax and NH property tax so all you are really avoiding is sales tax. And MA candidates have historically done quite well in NH. Dukakis, Kerry, Tsongas, Romney all won NH.
