Really, the only thing IQ measures is skill at taking certain kinds of tests. I know this because I was very very good at taking those kinds of tests.

Without the ability to reason, no amount of skill at taking tests will help.
They are biased tests that are made for a white suburbanite like me, but you do need to be able to think logically and apply it to the test.

You can be a logical thinker that does well on the test, but has a motivation deficit, depression, or anxiety, and not go as far in life as the test would have led someone to expect.
